Questions
About the FMchart platform
What is FMchart?
FMchart is an all-in-one web platform for financial market charts and analytics. It brings interactive charts, market data for crypto, stocks, ETFs and indices, and crypto derivatives analytics into one workspace. It provides market information only, not investment advice.
Which markets can I chart?
Crypto spot and perpetual markets, US stocks, ETFs and indices. Crypto prices use FMCHART composite indices — one USD price per coin built from several exchanges — so a chart does not depend on a single venue.
What charting tools are included?
Candlestick, line, area, Heikin Ashi, Renko and other chart types, more than 140 technical indicators, drawing tools such as trend lines, channels and Fibonacci levels, symbol comparison, and layouts of 1, 2, 4 or 6 charts with a synced crosshair.
Do I need an account?
No. Charts, indicators, drawing tools, heatmaps and derivatives pages work without signing up. A free account adds watchlists, alerts and saved layouts.
How does the Crypto Market Heatmap work?
Each bubble is a coin from the top of the market. Its colour shows the price change over the selected period, from 5 minutes to 1 year, and its size can follow price change, market cap or volume. Filter by category and click a bubble to open that coin's chart.
What derivatives data does FMchart cover?
A futures overview, open interest by coin and exchange, funding rates normalized per 8 hours, long/short ratios, perpetual futures volume, recorded liquidations, and estimated liquidation maps, heatmaps and levels.
Does the Liquidation Map show real liquidations?
No. The Liquidation Map is an estimate: it projects where open positions could be liquidated, using open interest and an assumed mix of leverage. Liquidations that have already happened are shown in the Liquidation Tracker.
How often is the data updated?
Crypto charts update in real time. The crypto heatmap and the liquidation map refresh every minute. Stocks, ETFs and indices follow their exchange trading hours and update while their market is open.
Stock Market Heatmap
US stock bubbles and market statistics — up to 500 stocks ranked by market cap
Spot the day's movers among US stocks in one view. By default, bubble size reflects the price change over the selected timeframe (1H to 1Y) and color shows its direction; you can also size bubbles by market cap or trading volume. The table lists price, market cap, volume, performance and sector for the stocks in the selected rank range.
About the Stock Market Heatmap
The FMchart stock market heatmap shows up to 500 US-listed stocks tracked by FMchart, ranked by market capitalization. Each stock appears as a bubble, and its color shows the direction of its price move. The bubble grows with the size of the move over the period you choose, from one hour to one year.
Switch the bubble size to market cap to see which companies carry the most weight, or to trading volume to see where activity is concentrated. Comparing the two views shows whether a move is broad or driven by a few large companies.
The table under the chart shows price, market cap, volume, performance and sector, and you can sort it by any of these. Hover a stock for a quick summary with a small price chart, or open it in the full FMchart charting workspace.
Outside US trading hours, prices stay at the last session until the market reopens, so a quiet heatmap at night does not mean data is missing.
Frequently asked questions
Which stocks are included?
It covers up to 500 US-listed stocks tracked by FMchart, ranked by market capitalization.
What do the bubble sizes mean?
By default, size shows the price change over the selected timeframe. You can switch it to market cap or trading volume to compare stocks by value or by activity.
Why are prices not moving?
US markets trade only during set hours. Outside them, the heatmap keeps the last session's prices until the market reopens.
Can I see only the stocks I follow?
Yes. After logging in, add symbols to your watchlist and show only those stocks on the heatmap.
