Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)
Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.Seasonal Chart
Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.ApeCoin Markets

About ApeCoin (APE)
ApeCoin (APE) is a token tied to the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT ecosystem. It launched on Ethereum in March 2022. It also pays for transactions on ApeChain, a network built for the same community. FMchart tracks APE through a composite index that combines several exchange prices into one USD value.
A token for the Bored Ape world
ApeCoin arrived as Bored Ape Yacht Club grew from an NFT collection into a wider brand. CoinDesk reported at launch that 62% of the supply was allocated to the ApeCoin community. Of the total, 15% was offered through an airdrop that opened on March 17, 2022. The ApeCoin DAO, which launched the token, was set up separately from Yuga Labs, the company behind Bored Apes. Holding APE was the only requirement for joining the DAO. Yuga said it would adopt APE as the main token for its new products and services.
ApeChain and APE as gas
ApeChain is a dedicated network that powers the ApeCoin ecosystem. Its documentation describes it as an Arbitrum Orbit chain, meaning it is built with Arbitrum's technology. APE is its native gas token, so every transaction on ApeChain is paid in APE. Apps deployed there therefore rely on APE to cover fees. The chain's documentation is now published under the Ape Foundation name.
From a DAO to ApeCo
From 2022, APE holders voted on how a community treasury was spent. In June 2025, Yuga Labs CEO Greg Solano proposed ending the DAO and moving its assets to a new entity called ApeCo. He described its governance as "sluggish, noisy, and often unserious governance theater." The plan, AIP-596, ended token-holder votes, working groups and elections. Yuga argued that milestone-based grants with stronger accountability would work better. The plan passed in a token-weighted Snapshot vote that closed on June 26, 2025. The plan also committed about 11.25 million APE to fully fund the staking contract and kept 10 million APE for legal and transition costs. In 2026, Yuga Labs merged ApeCoin's operations directly into the company and ended ApeCo as a separate structure, Decrypt reported.
Tied to one brand family
APE's main uses sit inside one group of projects: Bored Ape Yacht Club, the Otherside metaverse and ApeChain. Demand therefore leans heavily on interest in those projects and in NFTs more broadly. Since mid-2025, spending decisions have rested with Yuga Labs' side of the ecosystem rather than with token holders, which concentrates control. Holding APE carries no ownership of Yuga Labs or its intellectual property. Bridges and smart contracts on ApeChain add technical risk. In June 2025, The Block noted that APE was trading about 97% below its all-time high of $26.

ApeCoin (APE) FAQ
What is ApeCoin (APE)?
ApeCoin is a cryptocurrency linked to the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT ecosystem. It launched on Ethereum in March 2022 and is now also the gas token of ApeChain. Its value depends largely on interest in Bored Apes, the Otherside metaverse and the apps built on ApeChain.
Who created ApeCoin?
ApeCoin was launched in March 2022 by the ApeCoin DAO. The DAO was set up as a body separate from Yuga Labs, the company behind Bored Ape Yacht Club. Yuga said it would adopt APE as the main token for its new products. In 2025, the DAO's role passed to ApeCo, an entity created by Yuga Labs, and in 2026 Yuga folded ApeCo's operations into the company itself.
What is ApeChain?
ApeChain is a dedicated network for the ApeCoin ecosystem, and its documentation describes it as an Arbitrum Orbit chain. APE is its native gas token, so all fees there are paid in APE. Anyone using apps on ApeChain therefore needs some APE to cover transaction costs.
Does the ApeCoin DAO still exist?
No. In June 2025, holders approved AIP-596, a proposal from Yuga Labs CEO Greg Solano to end the DAO. The token-weighted Snapshot vote on the plan closed on June 26, 2025. Token-holder votes, working groups and elections ended, and the DAO's assets moved to a new entity called ApeCo.
What is ApeCo?
ApeCo was the entity that took over the ApeCoin DAO's assets and decisions after the AIP-596 vote in June 2025. It was meant to focus funding on ApeChain, Bored Ape Yacht Club and the Otherside metaverse. In May 2026, Decrypt reported that Yuga Labs was merging ApeCoin's operations directly into Yuga and ending ApeCo as a separate structure. APE holders no longer vote on spending.
How much is one ApeCoin today?
One APE is worth about $0.1215 on FMchart's composite price. Within the last 24 hours, roughly $1.71M of APE was traded across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. At that price, APE's circulating supply is valued near $121.5M. The header beside the price also shows the daily change and the 24h Range.
How many ApeCoin tokens are in circulation?
APE has 1,000,000,000 tokens in circulation against a maximum of 1,000,000,000, according to market data. No APE can be created beyond that cap. By market capitalization, APE currently ranks number 243 among cryptocurrencies, and the figures update as market data refreshes.
What was ApeCoin's peak price?
ApeCoin's record price is $26.7, set on Apr 28, 2022. The gap between that peak and today's quote, along with the all-time low, is shown in Price Statistics. A high set in an earlier market says nothing reliable about where APE will trade next.
What were APE's best and worst months?
In FMchart's composite price history (since March 2022), APE did best in April 2026 (+85.3%) and worst in May 2022 (-66.1%). Monthly Returns (USD) lists the rest. Annual Price (USD) Change sums up each calendar year, and Quarterly Closing Price (USD) adds quarter-end levels for the token.
What is ApeCoin used for?
APE pays transaction fees on ApeChain, and Yuga Labs said at launch that it would adopt APE as the main token for its new products. Until June 2025, it also gave holders votes in the ApeCoin DAO. That governance right ended when the DAO was replaced by ApeCo, later folded into Yuga Labs. APE now works mainly as a utility and gas token.
