Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)
Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.Seasonal Chart
Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.Aptos Markets

About Aptos (APT)
Aptos (APT) is a layer-1 blockchain built around the Move programming language. Its mainnet launched in October 2022, making it the first of two networks to grow out of the Move work begun at Meta's Diem project. Its native token pays transaction fees, is staked to secure the network and is used in governance votes. FMchart's APT price is a composite: it combines trading on multiple large exchanges and expresses the outcome in dollars.
Move and an account-centric design
Smart contracts on Aptos are written in Move, a language whose compile-time checks aim to catch many bugs before code is deployed. On Ethereum, a token contract keeps everyone's balances in one table. Here, each account stores its own resources, such as token balances. This split storage makes it easier to run many transactions in parallel. Aptos also supports sponsored transactions, where an app pays fees for its users.
AIP-140 sets a hard cap
The network began with 1 billion tokens, and staking rewards had added about 196 million more, with no ceiling on future issuance. In February 2026, the Aptos Foundation published AIP-140, and APT holders approved it in a governance vote. It sets a hard cap of 2.1 billion APT, so no tokens can be minted above that level. The foundation also pledged to lock and permanently stake 210 million APT. When the proposal was published, about 1.196 billion APT existed, leaving roughly 904 million of room under the cap.
Burning fees and trimming rewards
All gas fees on the network are paid in APT, and most of that is burned. AIP-141, executed in March 2026, raised gas and storage fees tenfold to make those burns meaningful. Governance votes that month also cut the annual staking reward rate from 5.19% to about 2.6%, the level AIP-140 had set out. Its stated goal is for burns to exceed new issuance one day, which depends on far higher network activity.
Unlocks and trading apps
The four-year unlock cycle for early investors and core contributors was scheduled to end in October 2026. The foundation expects yearly unlocks to fall by about 60% after that. New foundation grants are meant to vest only when performance milestones are met. Aptos is also courting trading apps such as Decibel, an exchange incubated by Aptos Labs with the Decibel Foundation that places every order, match and cancel on the chain.
Risks for APT holders
APT supply still grows through staking rewards, and large unlocks shaped its market for years. Much of the deflation plan depends on activity from apps that are still young. Aptos competes with Sui, Solana and other fast chains for developers and users. Governance can change fees and rewards again. As with other layer-1 tokens, APT's price has swung widely since launch.

Aptos (APT) FAQ
What is Aptos (APT)?
Aptos is a layer-1 blockchain that launched its mainnet in October 2022 and runs smart contracts written in the Move language. APT is its native token, used for gas fees, staking and governance. In 2026, holders approved a hard cap of 2.1 billion APT as part of a broader tokenomics overhaul.
What is the difference between Aptos and Sui?
Both came out of Meta's Diem project and use versions of the Move language. Aptos launched first, in October 2022, followed by Sui in May 2023. They are run by different teams and differ in design details, tokenomics and ecosystems. APT and SUI are separate tokens that trade independently.
Who is behind Aptos?
Aptos is developed by Aptos Labs and supported by the Aptos Foundation, which proposes major tokenomics changes through Aptos Improvement Proposals. APT holders vote on those proposals. In 2026, the foundation authored AIP-140, which introduced the 2.1 billion APT hard cap and a permanent 210 million APT stake.
What is the price of Aptos today?
Aptos' APT token is trading around $0.6829, measured by FMchart's composite of multiple large exchanges in dollars. About $7.51M of APT traded during the last 24 hours across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. The composite smooths out venue differences, so one exchange may not match it exactly.
Is there a cap on APT supply, and how much is circulating?
About 883,549,964 APT circulate today, under a hard cap of 2,100,000,000 APT that holders approved in 2026. At the current price, the circulating APT is worth roughly $603.3M, which places Aptos at rank 98. Staking rewards still mint APT, while gas fees burn it.
What is APT's all-time high?
APT's peak price is $19.92, recorded on Jan 26, 2023. Unlocks, market cycles and shifting interest in fast layer-1 chains have since moved it a long way. The peak is a historical data point, not a forecast. Price Statistics measures how far the token now sits from both its peak and its all-time low.
How has APT performed month to month?
In FMchart's composite price history (since October 2022), APT posted its largest monthly gain in January 2023 (+385.8%) and its sharpest loss in April 2024 (-49.1%). Monthly Returns (USD) shows every month in between, and Annual Price (USD) Change compares years. These numbers describe the past only and do not forecast future returns.
Why did Aptos raise its gas fees?
AIP-141, executed in March 2026, raised all Aptos gas and storage fees tenfold. Because gas fees are paid in APT and mostly burned, higher fees mean more APT removed from supply. The foundation says even a tenfold increase leaves fees among the lowest of major chains, with a stablecoin transfer estimated at about $0.00014.
Is Aptos a good investment?
FMchart does not provide investment advice. Aptos has a capped supply, fee burns, lower staking rewards since March 2026 and a reduced unlock schedule. It also faces strong competition among layer-1 networks, depends on new apps to drive activity, and still issues APT through staking rewards. The token's price has been volatile since launch.
What affects the price of APT?
APT tends to move with the wider crypto market. Aptos-specific factors include token unlocks, changes to staking rewards and gas fees, the amount of APT burned, growth of apps such as trading platforms, and developer adoption compared with rival chains. Governance votes on tokenomics can also shift expectations.
