AWE Network (AWE) is a crypto project on Base, an Ethereum layer-2 network, that builds products around AI agents, such as Realyse and Polyvaults. It was called STP Network, with the ticker STPT, until a rebrand finished in May 2025. AWE is the project's governance token and pays for activity in its products. From STP to AWE
STP launched in 2019 to work on coordination, building identity systems and DAO tooling, the project says. It reports supporting more than 250 organizations across web3 during that period. In mid-2023 it shifted toward Autonomous Worlds, persistent simulations where many AI agents act alone or alongside humans. The token swap opened in May 2025 at 1:1, moving STPT on Ethereum to AWE on Base. Total supply stayed at about 1.94 billion.
World.fun and agent payments
AWE's 2025 products included World.fun, a platform running several AI-driven worlds such as Genesis AI Town and AI Shark Tank. It also launched AWESOME, a workflow service for agents that connects many Model Context Protocol tools. The token is used for governance, for powering worlds on World.fun, for tipping agents and for paying for inference. In 2025 the project added support for x402 micropayments and ERC-8004 onchain identities, so agents can hold wallets and pay each other. The annual report also lists 2025 exchange listings on Binance, KuCoin and Coinbase, which it called its first listing on a US regulated exchange.
A turn toward prediction markets
In 2026, much of the project's reported work centered on Polyvaults, a product for prediction market strategies. In August 2026, Polyvaults launched a Custom Index Builder and an Index Marketplace, letting users build and share indexes based on their market views. On 10 September 2026, AWE published that brand update, describing itself as the infrastructure and asset layer for the agentic economy. The STPT migration window closed on 21 September 2026, with about 99% of tokens migrated. Unclaimed AWE from the swap is to be handled by a community governance proposal.
A project that keeps changing direction
AWE has changed course several times, from coordination tools to autonomous worlds and then toward prediction market products. Its September 2026 brand update added Realyse, a price layer for real-world assets that starts with trading cards, so its focus is still evolving. Demand for the token rests on interest in AI agents and prediction markets, themes whose popularity can fade quickly. The fate of the unclaimed migration tokens also depends on a governance vote that had not taken place by that update.
