Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)
Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.Seasonal Chart
Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.Bitcoin Cash Markets

About Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that split from Bitcoin on 1 August 2017. Its supporters wanted bigger blocks so that more payments could fit on the main chain at low cost. Everyone who held Bitcoin at the moment of the split received the same amount of BCH. The coin keeps Bitcoin's 21 million cap and proof-of-work mining. On this page, the Bitcoin Cash price is FMchart's composite, combining quotes from several large exchanges into one US-dollar figure.
Why the split happened
By 2017, Bitcoin's 1 MB block size limit was causing high fees and slow confirmations during busy periods. One camp preferred to keep blocks small and add layers such as SegWit and the Lightning Network. Another camp wanted to raise the block size directly, and Bitcoin Cash came from that second view. A further dispute in November 2018 divided the BCH community again and created Bitcoin SV as a separate coin.
Adaptive blocks and CashTokens
Bitcoin Cash schedules its network upgrades for May each year. The May 2023 upgrade added CashTokens, which let users create their own fungible tokens and NFTs directly on the BCH chain without a separate network. The tokens ride on ordinary BCH outputs, so wallets and contracts handle them with the same tools used for BCH itself. Since May 2024, the block size limit has followed an adaptive blocksize limit algorithm (ABLA). The maximum grows or shrinks with real demand rather than staying at a fixed number.
Smarter scripts in 2025 and 2026
The May 2025 and May 2026 upgrades focused on smart contracts. In May 2025, Bitcoin Cash raised limits on its script virtual machine and added high-precision arithmetic for much larger numbers. The upgrade on 15 May 2026 added bounded loops, reusable functions, restored bitwise operations and a 'pay to script' option. Together, these changes let developers write smaller and more flexible contracts while keeping Bitcoin's basic transaction model.
Mining and supply
BCH uses the same SHA-256 mining algorithm as Bitcoin, so the same machines can mine either coin, and miners can switch to whichever pays more at the moment. The block reward halves every 210,000 blocks, about every four years, and the 2024 halving cut it to 3.125 BCH. Because BCH has far less mining power than Bitcoin, its difficulty adjusts every block to keep blocks near ten minutes apart. Around 20 million of the 21 million coins already exist.
Smaller network, thinner security
Bitcoin Cash shares Bitcoin's design but not its scale of users, liquidity or mining security. Lower hash power means an attack would cost less than on Bitcoin. Everyday merchant use has stayed modest, and many digital dollar payments now run on stablecoin networks instead. BCH's price has fallen steeply after past peaks and can move sharply in both directions.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) FAQ
What is Bitcoin Cash?
Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency that split from Bitcoin in August 2017 to allow larger blocks and cheaper on-chain payments. It keeps Bitcoin's 21 million coin limit and SHA-256 mining. Since then it has added its own features, including native tokens called CashTokens and a block size limit that adapts to demand.
What is the difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash?
Both share the same history up to August 2017 and use the same mining algorithm and supply cap. Bitcoin kept a smaller base block size and relies on layers such as Lightning for cheap payments. Bitcoin Cash raised its block size so more payments fit on the main chain, and it has added CashTokens and richer scripting.
Who created Bitcoin Cash?
Bitcoin Cash had no single founder. A group of developers, miners and businesses who wanted bigger blocks launched it in 2017. Several independent teams now maintain node software, including Bitcoin Cash Node, and upgrades are coordinated through public proposals called CHIPs, which activate together each May.
What is the price of Bitcoin Cash today?
Bitcoin Cash is priced at about $281.31 per BCH on FMchart's composite, which merges quotes from several large exchanges. Around $14.17M of BCH traded over the past 24 hours across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. Small gaps against individual exchanges are normal, and the 24-hour range is shown beside the headline price.
How many Bitcoin Cash are in circulation?
About 20,108,275 BCH are in circulation, close to the 21 million cap. That gives Bitcoin Cash a market capitalization of roughly $5.66B and rank 21 among cryptocurrencies. Because most coins already exist, new supply is small, and it shrinks again at each halving, about every four years.
What is Bitcoin Cash's all-time high?
Bitcoin Cash's all-time high stands at $3,785.82, from Dec 19, 2017. BCH has seen sharp rallies and long declines since the 2017 split. A record price is not a forecast of where the coin will trade next. The Price Statistics panel also shows the all-time low and today's distance from each record.
How has BCH performed by month?
In FMchart's composite price history (since November 2019), BCH has its best month in June 2023 (+168.7%) and its worst in June 2022 (-49.5%). Every month appears in the Monthly Returns (USD) table, and yearly figures are in the Annual Price (USD) Change table. Results have varied widely, and history is not a forecast.
When is the next Bitcoin Cash halving?
Bitcoin Cash halves its block reward every 210,000 blocks, roughly every four years. The last halving, in 2024, cut the reward from 6.25 to 3.125 BCH, so the next one is expected around 2028. The exact date depends on how quickly blocks are found, which varies with mining activity.
Is Bitcoin Cash a good investment?
FMchart does not offer investment advice. Bitcoin Cash has a fixed supply and an active upgrade schedule. It also has much lower hash power and liquidity than Bitcoin, modest everyday payment use and strong competition from other payment networks and stablecoins. Its price has historically been volatile.
What affects the price of BCH?
BCH often moves with Bitcoin and the wider crypto market. Its own drivers include network upgrades, payment and token adoption, support from exchanges and payment processors, and mining economics around halvings. Interest in Bitcoin forks in general and broader regulation can also influence demand.
