Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)
Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.Seasonal Chart
Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.Convex Finance Markets
Convex Finance Historical Data
About Convex Finance (CVX)
Convex Finance (CVX) is the token of Convex, a protocol built on top of the Curve decentralized exchange. Convex lets Curve liquidity providers earn trading fees and boosted CRV rewards without locking CRV themselves. CVX holders can lock their tokens to vote on how Convex uses its Curve voting power. FMchart prices CVX with its composite, which averages several exchanges in US dollars.
Boosted Curve rewards without locking
On Curve, liquidity providers earn more CRV if they hold vote-escrowed CRV, called veCRV, which requires a long lock. Convex pools veCRV and shares the boost with users who deposit their Curve LP tokens through Convex. The docs say Convex charges no withdrawal fees. Its performance fees pay for gas and are distributed to CVX stakers.
cvxCRV, a one-way conversion
When users deposit CRV into Convex, it is locked forever on the platform as veCRV. In return they receive cvxCRV, a tokenized form of veCRV. The conversion is one-way, so cvxCRV cannot be turned back into CRV through Convex. Staked cvxCRV earns rewards, and holders can choose to receive them as crvUSD, as CRV and CVX, or a mix of both. Holders who prefer one reward over another can set the split in the rewards preferences.
Vote-locked CVX
To vote on Convex proposals, holders must lock CVX for a minimum of 16 weeks. Locks are grouped into weekly epochs that start on Thursday at 00:00 UTC, so a lock lasts 16 full epochs. Locked CVX, often called vlCVX, earns a share of protocol fees. Through these votes, vlCVX holders help decide how Convex's veCRV voting power is used on Curve. Unlocked CVX stays in the locker contract until its owner withdraws or relocks it. Tokens left idle for more than four epochs can be kicked out by other users for a small bounty.
A 100 million CVX cap
CVX has a maximum supply of 100 million. Half was set aside for Curve LP rewards, paid in proportion to CRV earned on Convex, and 25% for liquidity mining over four years. The rest went to the treasury, airdrops to veCRV holders, investors and the team. The CVX minted per CRV falls every 100,000 CVX, so new issuance slows as supply nears the cap. Treasury, investor and team allocations each vested over one year.
Linked protocols and Curve dependence
Convex's value is tied to Curve, so lower Curve activity or CRV prices can reduce what Convex earns. Projects built around Convex add their own risks. In June 2025, Resupply, a stablecoin protocol linked to Convex and Yearn, was drained of $9.6 million in an exploit of its wstUSR market, Decrypt reported. Smart contract risk applies to every layer of this stack.

Convex Finance (CVX) FAQ
What does Convex Finance do?
Convex lets Curve liquidity providers earn trading fees and boosted CRV rewards without locking CRV themselves. It pools veCRV and shares the boost with depositors. CVX holders who lock their tokens vote on how Convex uses its Curve voting power and earn a share of protocol fees.
What is cvxCRV, and can I convert it back to CRV?
cvxCRV is a tokenized form of veCRV that users receive when they deposit CRV into Convex, which locks that CRV forever. The conversion is one-way, so Convex will not turn cvxCRV back into CRV. Staked cvxCRV earns rewards in crvUSD, CRV and CVX.
How long is CVX locked when you vote?
Voting on Convex requires locking CVX for at least 16 weeks. Locks are grouped into weekly epochs starting Thursday at 00:00 UTC and end after 16 full epochs, so locking mid-epoch adds the time until the next epoch starts. Locked CVX earns a share of protocol fees.
How much is CVX trading for?
CVX trades near $2.276 on FMchart's composite, a blend of several exchanges expressed in US dollars and updated through the day. Around $2.21M of CVX was traded over one day across the exchanges in FMchart's composite, and CVX holds rank 170 by market capitalization.
How close is CVX to its 100 million cap?
CVX has a maximum supply of 100,000,000 tokens, in line with the 100 million cap in Convex's documentation. About 93,194,518 CVX are circulating, worth roughly $212.1M at the composite price. Because issuance slows near the cap, few new CVX remain to be minted.
What is CVX's all-time high?
CVX's all-time high is $60.09, from Jan 1, 2022. Price Statistics gives the percentage distance from that peak and from the lowest price on record. A past high is part of the record only and gives no reliable signal about future prices, which also depend on Curve's activity.
How has CVX performed by month?
In FMchart's composite price history (since September 2022), CVX recorded its strongest month in November 2024 (+134.7%) and its weakest in April 2024 (-42.9%). Monthly Returns (USD) fills in each month, Quarterly Closing Price (USD) shows where each quarter ended, and Annual Price (USD) Change sums each year.
What happens to CVX after a lock ends?
After 16 full epochs, locked CVX unlocks automatically but stays in the locker contract until its owner withdraws or relocks it. Relocked tokens count toward the current epoch's votes. CVX left idle for more than four epochs can be kicked out by other users, who take a small bounty.
Was Convex Finance hacked?
Convex itself was not the protocol drained in June 2025. That exploit hit Resupply, a stablecoin protocol linked to Convex and Yearn, which lost $9.6 million through its wstUSR market, Decrypt reported. Protocols built around Convex carry their own smart contract risks.
Is CVX a good investment?
FMchart cannot say, because it offers no investment advice and no neutral yes or no exists. CVX's value depends on Curve's activity, CRV's price and demand for Convex's voting power. Smart contract risk across linked protocols adds uncertainty, and CVX's price has moved sharply.
