Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)

Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.

Seasonal Chart

Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.

Terra Luna Classic Historical Data

About Terra Luna Classic (LUNC)

Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) is the native token of Terra Classic, the original Terra blockchain. Until May 2022, the token was simply called LUNA. After Terra's stablecoin failed, a new chain took over the Terra name and the old network was renamed. Proposals voted on by LUNC holders now decide how Terra Classic changes. The price shown here is FMchart's composite: one US dollar value averaged from trading on several exchanges.

What happened in May 2022

Terra was built around UST, an algorithmic stablecoin meant to hold $1 through its link with LUNA rather than through one-to-one cash backing. According to the SEC's 2023 complaint, Terraform also marketed UST as paying as much as 20% interest through its Anchor protocol. In May 2022, UST lost its dollar peg. The SEC says the prices of UST and Terraform Labs' other tokens then fell close to zero. As the system unwound, the supply of the original LUNA swelled to more than 6.5 trillion tokens.

A new chain and an old name

On May 28, 2022, a new blockchain went live under the Terra name. Its fresh LUNA token was airdropped to holders of the old network. Only part of that airdrop could be claimed at once, and the rest vested over as long as two years. Before that launch, governance voted to call the original network Terra Classic, and its token became LUNA Classic, or LUNC. The two chains are separate. LUNC and today's LUNA are different assets that trade independently of each other.

The burn tax and LUNC supply

With trillions of tokens outstanding, much of the community's effort has gone into reducing supply. In September 2022, governance introduced a 1.2% burn tax, which destroys part of each taxable on-chain transfer. On-chain activity then dropped sharply. In October 2022, Proposal 5234 cut the rate to 0.2% and set aside 10% of tax revenue for ecosystem funding. Governance has since changed the rate several times, so the 0.2% figure is historical rather than current.

Court cases after the collapse

Terraform Labs, the company that built Terra, and its co-founder Do Kwon faced legal action in the United States. In June 2024, the SEC announced they had agreed to pay more than $4.5 billion after a jury found them liable for fraud. Kwon pleaded guilty to fraud charges in August 2025. On December 11, 2025, a federal judge in New York sentenced him to 15 years in prison.

Risks specific to LUNC

Because LUNC's supply runs into the trillions, any burn has to be very large to make a real difference. Demand depends on on-chain activity, exchange support and decisions made through community votes. Much of LUNC trading is speculative, and price swings can be extreme. Its history also includes a collapse that wiped out about $40 billion in value, a reminder of how fast confidence can vanish.

Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) FAQ

What is Terra Luna Classic (LUNC)?

LUNC is the token of Terra Classic, the original Terra blockchain, known as LUNA until May 2022. After the UST stablecoin lost its peg, a new Terra chain launched and the old one was renamed. LUNC holders stake tokens with validators and vote on proposals, such as changes to the burn tax.

What is the difference between LUNC and LUNA?

LUNC belongs to the original chain, now called Terra Classic, while LUNA belongs to the new Terra chain launched on May 28, 2022. Holders of the old network received the new LUNA through an airdrop. The two tokens run on separate blockchains, have very different supplies and trade as separate assets.

Why did Terra collapse in 2022?

Terra collapsed after UST, its algorithmic stablecoin, lost its $1 peg in May 2022. UST was not backed one-to-one by cash, and its design leaned on LUNA. Once confidence broke, UST and LUNA fell close to zero, and LUNA's supply ballooned past 6.5 trillion. US authorities later found Terraform Labs and Do Kwon liable for fraud.

What is the LUNC price right now?

LUNC is trading near $0 on FMchart's composite, which blends several exchanges into one dollar price. In the last 24 hours, about $802.9K of LUNC changed hands across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. With a supply in the trillions, LUNC is usually quoted with many decimal places.

How many LUNC tokens are in circulation?

Roughly 5,511,835,363,570 LUNC are in circulation, with no fixed maximum supply. That huge number traces back to May 2022, when LUNA's supply swelled past 6.5 trillion. At today's price, circulating LUNC is worth around $245.4M, ranking it 156 by market capitalization. Burns slowly remove tokens from the total.

What was LUNC's all-time high?

The all-time high on record for LUNC is $119.18, reached on Apr 5, 2022. That peak came when the token was still the original LUNA, before UST lost its peg and supply exploded into the trillions. Because supply is now vastly larger, comparing today's price with that high is of limited use.

What were LUNC's biggest monthly gains and losses?

In FMchart's composite price history (since August 2026), the top month for LUNC was September 2026 (+4.3%), and the bottom one was August 2026 (+2.9%). Use Monthly Returns (USD) for the complete record and Annual Price (USD) Change for yearly results. Single months can be extreme, so they say little about the longer record.

What is the LUNC burn tax?

The burn tax is a fee on taxable on-chain LUNC transfers, part of which is destroyed to cut supply. Governance set it at 1.2% in September 2022. After on-chain activity fell, Proposal 5234 lowered it to 0.2% in October 2022 and directed 10% of tax revenue to ecosystem funding. Governance has changed the rate several times since then, so the 0.2% setting no longer applies.

What happened to Do Kwon?

Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, pleaded guilty to fraud charges in the United States in August 2025. On December 11, 2025, a federal judge in New York sentenced him to 15 years in prison. Separately, in June 2024 the SEC announced that Terraform and Kwon had agreed to pay more than $4.5 billion.

Can LUNC reach $1?

Nobody can say, and FMchart makes no price forecasts. Simple arithmetic shows the scale involved: with trillions of LUNC in circulation, a $1 price would imply a market value in the trillions of dollars. Burns shrink supply only slowly. Claims that LUNC will hit a specific price deserve plenty of skepticism.
