Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)

Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.

Seasonal Chart

Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.

Virtuals Protocol Historical Data

About Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL)

Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) is a platform for launching and trading tokens tied to AI agents, which are software programs that can act and pay on their own. Its white paper describes the goal as an onchain society of agents with identity, capital, jobs and markets. VIRTUAL is the base currency that links these agents together. The price, chart and return tables here use FMchart's composite index, which combines VIRTUAL trades from several exchanges and quotes them in dollars.

What the platform does

Anyone can create an AI agent on the platform, and creating one is mostly free, although some launch modules cost 10 VIRTUAL. Once launched, an agent gets its own token that people can trade. The white paper pictures agents that hold their own capital, take on jobs for other agents and are governed onchain. VIRTUAL is the currency that connects all of these agent economies.

Why every agent token pairs with VIRTUAL

Each agent launched on the platform gets its own token, and that token's liquidity pool is paired with VIRTUAL. Buying an agent token therefore usually means getting VIRTUAL first, often by swapping USDC. A new token starts on a bonding curve, a formula that raises the price as people buy. Once 42,000 VIRTUAL has been committed, the token graduates to a Uniswap pool whose liquidity is locked for ten years. A 1% trading fee is split 70% to the agent's creator and 30% to the Virtuals treasury.

Genesis, Unicorn and modular launches

Early launches used a points-based system called Genesis. The project's documentation says Genesis rewarded collecting points more than long-term commitment. It was followed by a format called Unicorn and then by modular launch tools that creators can combine. To discourage bots that buy in the first seconds, new tokens carry an anti-sniper tax. It starts at 99% and falls to 1%.

One billion tokens, all unlocked

The VIRTUAL supply is set at one billion tokens. The white paper splits it into 60% for the public, 35% for an ecosystem treasury and 5% for a liquidity pool. It states that all tokens are unlocked and that no new ones will be minted. Spending from the treasury needs governance approval and is capped at 10% a year over three years. Holders can lock VIRTUAL for up to two years to receive veVIRTUAL, which brings airdrop eligibility. veVIRTUAL also carries votes on protocol proposals, which need a 25% quorum of veVIRTUAL and a simple majority to pass.

Treasury votes and a fickle theme

The first wave of veVIRTUAL proposals to pass included a fund against sniper bots, worth 1% of supply, and a performance-based grant of up to 6% of supply. Decisions like these can add tokens to circulation over time. The bigger risk is that demand rests on enthusiasm for agent tokens, which can fade fast. Cointelegraph reported that daily trading revenue on the platform fell 96.8% between 2 January and 27 February 2025. Agent tokens are highly speculative, and smart-contract bugs or rival launchpads could also weigh on VIRTUAL.

Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) FAQ

What is Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL)?

Virtuals Protocol is a launchpad and marketplace for AI agent tokens. VIRTUAL is its base currency, because every agent token is paired with it in a liquidity pool. Its supply is fixed at one billion tokens, and the white paper says all of them are already unlocked.

What is an AI agent token on Virtuals?

It is a token linked to one AI agent launched through the platform. It starts on a bonding curve and moves to a Uniswap pool after 42,000 VIRTUAL has been committed. Creators earn 70% of the 1% trading fee, so each token's fortunes depend on interest in that particular agent rather than on the platform alone.

Is VIRTUAL inflationary?

No new VIRTUAL is meant to be minted. The white paper fixes the supply at one billion and says every token is already unlocked. The 35% treasury already exists, but releasing it needs a governance vote and is capped at 10% a year over three years. Treasury spending can therefore still add to the tokens trading on the market.

What is the price of VIRTUAL right now?

VIRTUAL is quoted near $0.6138 in FMchart's composite index. Roughly $3.24M of it traded during the last day across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. Because most agent tokens on Virtuals are bought with VIRTUAL, new launches on the platform add to demand for it.

How many VIRTUAL tokens are in circulation?

Roughly 658,385,842 VIRTUAL circulate, against a fixed ceiling of 1,000,000,000. Multiplying circulating tokens by the composite price gives a market cap near $404.1M, good for rank 121. Most of the difference between those supply numbers is the ecosystem treasury, which only governance can release.

What was the highest price VIRTUAL ever reached?

Market data puts VIRTUAL's record at $5.07, set on Jan 1, 2025. Demand for AI agent tokens has proved changeable, and the token has swung widely since its peak. Today's percentage distance from that high, and from the all-time low, appears in the Price Statistics panel.

How has VIRTUAL performed month by month?

In FMchart's composite price history (since April 2025), VIRTUAL rose most in April 2025 (+241.8%), while November 2025 (-33.3%) brought its sharpest fall. Use the Monthly Returns (USD) grid for the months in between. These figures describe what happened in a short record, not what comes next.

What is veVIRTUAL?

veVIRTUAL is what you receive by locking VIRTUAL for up to two years. It brings eligibility for airdrops based on veVIRTUAL holdings and carries votes on protocol proposals. A proposal needs a 25% quorum of veVIRTUAL supply and a simple majority to pass, and the balance decays as the lock runs down.

Is VIRTUAL a good investment?

FMchart offers no investment advice, so that call is yours to make. VIRTUAL's demand is tied to AI agent token trading, which can collapse quickly: Cointelegraph reported a 96.8% fall in daily platform revenue in early 2025. A fixed supply is one feature to weigh. Reliance on a single theme is a clear risk.

What moves the VIRTUAL price?

Interest in AI agents is one driver, because people need VIRTUAL to buy most agent tokens on the platform. New launches, treasury spending approved by veVIRTUAL votes, expansion to other chains and rival agent platforms can matter too. Conditions in the wider crypto market are another factor to keep in mind.
