Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)

Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.

Seasonal Chart

Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.

Worldcoin Historical Data

About Worldcoin (WLD)

Worldcoin is a project that aims to give every person a way to prove online that they are a real, unique human. Its token is WLD. In October 2024, the project renamed itself World, while the token kept its ticker. OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman is a co-founder, and a company called Tools for Humanity develops the technology. FMchart shows WLD's price as a composite drawn from several large exchanges.

The Orb and World ID

To sign up, a person visits an Orb, a device that scans the iris. The scan is used to create a World ID, a digital credential showing that the holder is human and has not registered before. The project presents this as a way to tell people apart from bots as AI tools spread online. A redesigned Orb using Nvidia hardware was shown in October 2024. At that time, the project said about 15 million people had signed up for the World App. Some users can also verify with an NFC-enabled passport.

How the token supply works

WLD has a total supply of 10 billion tokens, fixed for at least the first 15 years. After that, holders could vote to allow inflation of up to 1.5% a year. Three quarters of the supply is set aside for the community, partly handed out to verified users in some countries. The rest went to the development team, investors and a reserve. Only about 143 million tokens circulated at launch in July 2023, so a large share has entered the market since.

Privacy and regulators

Collecting biometric data has drawn close attention from regulators. On March 6, 2024, Spain's data protection agency (AEPD) ordered the project to stop processing personal data there for up to three months. It cited a lack of information for users, the collection of data from minors and the inability to withdraw consent. It also stressed that biometric data needs special protection under EU law. Rules on this kind of data differ by country, so where the project can sign up users depends on local authorities.

Market maker loans at launch

When trading began in July 2023, 100 million WLD were lent to five market makers to support trading. The loans ran for three months. After that, the market makers could return the tokens or buy them at a price set by a formula in the whitepaper. If each had bought its full allotment, that price would have been about $2.80 per token. Analysts at the time warned that the small circulating supply, compared with the total, could make the price unstable.

What can move the price

Sign-up numbers, new uses for World ID and decisions by regulators all affect sentiment. Token releases to the team and investors add supply over time. Supply growth has remained a common topic among holders since launch. Like other crypto assets, WLD can rise and fall sharply within short periods, and its history on public markets is relatively short.

Worldcoin (WLD) FAQ

What is Worldcoin?

Worldcoin is a digital identity and crypto project that verifies people as unique humans using an iris-scanning device called the Orb. Verified users receive a World ID and, in some countries, WLD tokens. The project now calls itself World, and Sam Altman is a co-founder.

Is Worldcoin now called World?

Yes. The project rebranded from Worldcoin to World in October 2024 and unveiled a new Orb at the same time. The token still trades under the WLD ticker. As of October 2026, major market data sites such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap still list it as Worldcoin.

How does the Worldcoin Orb work?

The Orb photographs a person's iris to confirm they are a unique human. The result is used to issue a World ID, which apps can check without asking for a name. The Orb redesigned in October 2024 runs on Nvidia hardware, and a smaller handheld Orb Mini followed in 2025. Some users can verify with an NFC passport instead.

What is one WLD worth today?

WLD is changing hands at about $0.4367 on FMchart's composite price. In the last 24 hours, approximately $57.94M of WLD traded across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. Because several exchanges feed the composite, one platform's quote may differ slightly at any given moment.

How many WLD tokens are there?

About 3,723,329,220 WLD are circulating, out of a total supply of 10 billion that is fixed for at least 15 years. That gives a market cap of about $1.63B, ranking 60 by market value. Circulating supply keeps rising as allocations unlock.

Why did Spain suspend Worldcoin?

In March 2024, Spain's data protection agency ordered Worldcoin to stop processing personal data in the country for up to three months. It cited a lack of information for users, data collected from minors and the inability to withdraw consent. It said biometric data needs special protection under EU rules.

How do people get WLD?

Verified users in some countries receive WLD grants through the World App after an Orb scan. Others buy the token on exchanges. Grants depend on local rules and are not offered everywhere. Three quarters of all WLD is reserved for the community, which includes these user grants.

What is WLD's record high?

WLD's record high is $11.74, recorded on Mar 9, 2024. Its price has been driven by AI headlines, token unlocks and regulatory news, and it has fallen far from past peaks at times. That record is history. The Price Statistics panel lists the low as well.

How has WLD performed since launch?

WLD's yearly results appear in the Annual Price (USD) Change table, and its monthly swings in the Monthly Returns (USD) table, both from FMchart's composite price history. The token launched in July 2023, so the record is fairly short. Past performance is not a guide to the future.

What are the main concerns about Worldcoin?

The main concerns are privacy and data protection, since the project collects iris scans. Spain's data regulator ordered a temporary halt to its data processing in 2024. Others worry about the steady release of locked tokens, which adds supply and can weigh on the price.
