Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)
Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.Seasonal Chart
Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.Xai Markets
Xai Historical Data
About Xai (XAI)
Xai (XAI) is the native gas token of Xai, an Arbitrum Orbit blockchain built for web3 gaming. Xai uses Arbitrum Nitro and AnyTrust data availability, with technical support from Offchain Labs and oversight by the Xai Foundation. The network is designed for games that need frequent on-chain actions and higher gas or contract limits. FMchart's chart and performance tables use a multi-exchange composite converted to US dollars, so their historical coverage may be shorter than the network's operating history.
Xai's gaming-focused Orbit chain
Xai is not the similarly named AI projects that also use the ticker XAI. Its official documentation describes an Arbitrum Orbit chain that uses AnyTrust. AnyTrust relies on a Data Availability Committee, which introduces a different data-availability trust assumption from an Ethereum rollup that posts all data on-chain. The network also includes a canonical bridge in the Arbitrum ecosystem and custom gas and contract limits aimed at blockchain games. These are concrete design choices, not a claim that every game on Xai is risk-free or free to use.
What XAI does on the network
The Xai Foundation's token documentation gives XAI several roles: paying transaction gas, serving as a token for games and in-game items, and supporting validator-node rewards. The network also burns XAI used for gas fees. That burn mechanism links network activity to token supply, but it does not guarantee that the token's price will rise. Individual games may subsidize player gas through a gas-subsidy contract, so the player's experience can differ from a wallet directly submitting a transaction.
XAI, esXAI and Sentry Keys
Xai's token system distinguishes transferable XAI from escrowed XAI, called esXAI. The official tokenomics documentation describes a combined maximum supply of 2.5 billion XAI and esXAI. It also explains that esXAI emissions support Sentry Keys, which perform network-related work, and that the emission rate changes at supply thresholds. Xai's staking documentation describes an earlier v1 system tied to Sentry Keys and KYC, followed by staking pools in v2, introduced in April 2024. The mechanics matter: esXAI staking is not identical to simply holding liquid XAI.
Governance and token supply
Xai governance uses voting power associated with XAI, esXAI and staked esXAI, aggregated as vXAI. The official governance guide says a delegate statement must exist before a voting period for voting power to count toward a proposal outcome. The tokenomics page lists a maximum combined supply of 2.5 billion and provides allocation and unlock details; its dated circulating-supply figures should not be treated as a live count. For current token supply, unlocks and governance decisions, readers should distinguish the latest on-chain state from older explanatory documentation.
Reading XAI market data
The market price of XAI reflects trading across venues, while FMchart displays a composite price converted into USD. Market statistics can change as exchange prices and available feeds update. The all-time high shown in the page's Price Statistics panel is a market-data measure, not a statement about the network's technical milestones. Xai's documented gas-token role, esXAI system and gaming infrastructure explain what the asset is used for; they do not remove market, smart-contract, bridge, validator or token-unlock risks.

Xai (XAI) FAQ
What is Xai (XAI)?
Xai (XAI) is the native gas token of Xai, an Arbitrum Orbit blockchain designed for web3 gaming. Official documentation also describes XAI as a token for games and in-game items, and as part of validator rewards. It is distinct from other projects that happen to use the ticker XAI.
What is XAI used for?
XAI pays gas fees on the Xai blockchain and can be used as a payment token for games and in-game items. Xai documentation also describes validator-node rewards and a burn of XAI used for gas. Some games can use gas-subsidy contracts, so not every player interaction necessarily requires the player to pay gas directly.
Is Xai built on Arbitrum?
Yes. Xai is documented as an Arbitrum Orbit chain built on Arbitrum Nitro, with AnyTrust data availability. The official Xai documentation also identifies Offchain Labs as a technical supporter and the Xai Foundation as the organization overseeing the ecosystem. AnyTrust uses a Data Availability Committee, which is a specific trust assumption in the chain design.
How many XAI and esXAI tokens can exist?
Xai documentation sets the combined maximum supply of XAI and esXAI at 2.5 billion tokens. The same documentation distinguishes total supply from circulating supply and notes that esXAI is not transferable. Because tokens can be locked, unlocked, emitted or burned, the current circulating amount should be checked against current on-chain data rather than an older dated figure.
What is esXAI?
esXAI is Xai’s escrowed token, separate from transferable XAI. Xai’s tokenomics pages describe esXAI emissions as supporting Sentry Keys and explain that esXAI can be burned during redemption processes. The two-token setup means a quoted XAI supply figure may not include every esXAI unit, so the exact supply definition matters when comparing numbers.
Can you stake XAI?
Xai’s published staking guides describe staking for esXAI rather than treating every liquid XAI holding as automatically staked. The earlier v1 model tied staking to Sentry Keys and KYC, while staking pools introduced in April 2024 allowed esXAI holders to join pools. Users should check the current official staking interface and terms before relying on older instructions.
How does Xai governance work?
Xai governance proposals are handled through Xai Agora, and voting power can come from XAI, esXAI and staked esXAI, which the system aggregates as vXAI. The official voting guide says a delegate statement must be created before the voting period for voting power to count. Proposal status and voting requirements can change, so consult the live governance portal for a specific vote.
What is XAI’s all-time high?
XAI reached its market all-time high of $1.59 on Feb 25, 2024. Xai's public mainnet launched on January 9, 2024, and the token pays gas on its Arbitrum Orbit chain. The market peak is a price observation; it is not a measure of network use or a protocol milestone.
How has XAI performed over time?
Xai uses XAI for network gas and describes gas-fee burning in its tokenomics documentation. The Markets and historical-performance sections show available composite prices and returns, but coverage can begin later than the network’s January 9, 2024 public mainnet launch. Historical results describe past market prices only.
Why might XAI market prices differ between websites?
XAI can trade on multiple venues, and each venue may show a different last trade, spread and trading volume. FMchart combines available exchange prices into a USD composite, while another website may use one exchange or a different weighting method. Differences can also arise from timestamps, liquidity and whether a source includes the same trading pairs.
