Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)
Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.Seasonal Chart
Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.Tether Gold Markets

About Tether Gold (XAUT)
Tether Gold (XAUT) is a token backed by physical gold. Each full XAUT represents one troy fine ounce of gold on a London Good Delivery bar, held in vaults in Switzerland. It is issued within the Tether group, the company behind the USDT stablecoin. Because of that link, XAUT's price should follow the market price of gold rather than crypto trends. FMchart shows it as a composite of several large exchanges, in US dollars.
How the gold backing works
When XAUT is created, a matching amount of physical gold is allocated to the tokens in circulation. Each bar has its own serial number, purity and weight, so holders can check which bar backs their tokens. XAUT can be split into very small fractions, letting people own far less than an ounce. Tether publishes regular attestation reports that state how much gold supports the tokens in circulation. For example, Tether reported that 707,747 fine troy ounces, about 22 tonnes, backed XAUT on 31 March 2026. That amount changes as tokens are created or redeemed.
Redeeming for physical gold
Holders can redeem XAUT for physical gold, but redemption works in whole London Good Delivery bars. That makes physical delivery realistic only for large holders, and identity checks and fees apply. Most people instead buy and sell XAUT on exchanges. For them, the token works as a way to hold gold in a crypto wallet and move it at any hour.
Issuer, regulation and blockchains
XAUT is issued by TG Commodities, S.A. de C.V., which is registered as a stablecoin issuer and digital asset service provider in El Salvador. In 2026, Abu Dhabi Global Market recognized XAUT as an Accepted Spot Commodity, so authorized firms there can offer it. The token exists on Ethereum and other blockchains, so it can be sent between wallets around the clock.
Why people hold tokenized gold
Gold has long been held as a store of value and a hedge against currency weakness. A token such as XAUT keeps that exposure while adding features of crypto assets: small units, fast transfers and trading at any time. Some decentralized finance apps also accept it as collateral. The trade-off is that holders rely on a company and its partners rather than holding the metal directly.
Gold-specific risks
XAUT avoids the large swings of most cryptocurrencies but keeps the risks of gold, whose price can fall for long periods. Holders also rely on the issuer, the vault operators and the firms checking reserves, which is known as counterparty risk. Regulators may treat gold tokens differently across countries. On exchanges, XAUT can briefly trade above or below the value of its gold.

Tether Gold (XAUT) FAQ
What is Tether Gold (XAUT)?
Tether Gold is a digital token backed by physical gold. One XAUT represents one troy fine ounce of gold on a London Good Delivery bar stored in Switzerland. It is issued within the Tether group, can be split into small fractions and moves on blockchains such as Ethereum. Its price follows the price of gold.
Is XAUT backed by real gold?
Yes. According to Tether, every XAUT in circulation is backed by an equal amount of physical gold in Swiss vaults. Each bar has a serial number that holders can look up. Attestation reports state the total ounces held. Holders still rely on the issuer and the firms checking reserves, since they cannot inspect the vault themselves.
Can I redeem Tether Gold for physical gold?
Yes, but redemption is in whole London Good Delivery bars, so it mainly suits large holders. Identity checks and fees apply. Most holders instead buy and sell XAUT on exchanges, where its price closely follows the gold market.
What is the price of one Tether Gold token?
One XAUT is priced at about $4,003.33 on FMchart's composite, which should sit close to the price of one troy ounce of gold. Around $31.14M of XAUT traded in the past 24 hours across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. Small gaps from the spot gold price are normal on exchanges.
How much gold backs XAUT, and what is its market cap?
About 808,995 XAUT are in circulation, each tied to one troy ounce of gold, so that figure also equals the ounces backing them. That gives Tether Gold a market capitalization near $3.24B and rank 33 among crypto assets. Supply has no fixed cap and grows as new tokens are issued against new gold.
What is Tether Gold's all-time high?
Tether Gold's all-time high is $5,504.62, reached on Jan 28, 2026. Because XAUT tracks gold, its record highs come from gold's own rallies rather than crypto cycles. A record says nothing certain about the next move. The Price Statistics panel lists the all-time low and the current distance from both.
How has XAUT performed by month?
In FMchart's composite price history (since March 2026), XAUT's strongest month is August 2026 (+10.0%) and its weakest month is June 2026 (-11.5%). These figures mirror moves in the gold price, which are usually far smaller than those of typical cryptocurrencies. The Monthly Returns (USD) table lists every month. Past gold moves do not predict future ones, even over long periods.
Who issues Tether Gold?
Tether Gold is issued within the Tether group, the company behind the USDT stablecoin. The issuing company is TG Commodities, S.A. de C.V., registered as a stablecoin issuer in El Salvador. In 2026, Abu Dhabi Global Market also recognized XAUT as an Accepted Spot Commodity.
Is Tether Gold a good investment?
FMchart does not give investment advice. XAUT gives blockchain access to gold, so its value moves with the gold price rather than crypto markets. Risks include falling gold prices, reliance on Tether and its vault and audit partners, redemption limits for small holders and regulatory differences between countries.
What affects the price of XAUT?
XAUT's price is driven mainly by the global gold price, which reacts to interest rates, the US dollar, inflation, central bank buying and geopolitical events. Exchange supply and demand can create small, short-lived gaps from spot gold. Confidence in Tether and its attestations also affects how closely XAUT tracks gold.
