Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)
Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.Seasonal Chart
Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.eCash Markets

About eCash (XEC)
eCash (XEC) is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency descended from Bitcoin by way of Bitcoin Cash. It is developed by the Bitcoin ABC team, led by founder Amaury Séchet. On top of mining, eCash runs a staking-based voting layer called Avalanche to settle payments faster. The XEC quote on this page is a composite built by FMchart from several exchanges and expressed in US dollars.
From BCHA to XEC
The coin first traded as Bitcoin Cash ABC, or BCHA. On July 1, 2021, at noon UTC, it was renamed eCash. At the same moment, the main unit was redenominated so that 1 BCHA became 1,000,000 XEC. Bitcoin ABC stressed that this was not a token swap and that the blockchain itself did not change. Wallet addresses moved from the "bitcoincash:" prefix to "ecash:".
Mining plus Avalanche voting
New eCash blocks are mined with SHA256, the same algorithm Bitcoin uses, at an average interval of 10 minutes. Avalanche adds fast rounds of voting between staking nodes. On November 15, 2025, at block 923,347, the network activated Avalanche Pre-Consensus. The project says this makes transactions irreversible before they enter a block, cutting settlement time from 10 minutes to 3 seconds. A further upgrade on May 15, 2026, brought performance and scalability improvements to the node software.
Staking nodes and block rewards
Staking rewards began with a network upgrade on November 15, 2023. Each block pays 10% of its coinbase reward and fees to a staker chosen by the protocol. To take part, a holder needs at least 100 million XEC per coin output. They also need a fully validating node with Avalanche enabled. eCash warns that there is no wallet-only staking and that fake staking guides try to steal coins. The project's eCash Day 2026 update reported more than 350 billion XEC staked, a record. A separate, required slice of each block reward funds development.
Bitcoin's cap in smaller units
eCash has the same fixed supply as Bitcoin, inherited through Bitcoin Cash. Because of the 2021 redenomination, the cap works out to 21 trillion XEC instead of 21 million coins. That is why a single XEC is quoted with many decimal places, even though the underlying amounts are the same as before the change. The project says inflation was already below 1% in 2025 and will decrease to zero.
A small network sharing Bitcoin's algorithm
eCash is secured by SHA256 mining, the same algorithm used by far larger networks, so miners can point equipment at it or away from it. Avalanche Pre-Consensus, which gives transactions fast finality, only went live in November 2025, so its track record is short. Development depends heavily on Bitcoin ABC, so changes in that team could slow progress. eCash also competes with many other coins built for payments.

eCash (XEC) FAQ
What is eCash (XEC)?
eCash is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency that continues the Bitcoin Cash ABC chain and was renamed from BCHA in July 2021. It combines SHA256 mining with Avalanche, a staking-based voting layer that settles transactions in about 3 seconds. It is developed by the Bitcoin ABC team.
Is eCash the same as Bitcoin Cash?
No. eCash continues the Bitcoin Cash ABC chain, which traded as BCHA before becoming eCash on July 1, 2021. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a separate network with its own coin. Both share the same history up to their split, but they now follow separate upgrade paths and separate development teams.
Why does one XEC cost so little?
One XEC is a very small unit by design. When BCHA became eCash in July 2021, each coin was redenominated into 1,000,000 XEC. The same value is spread across a million times more units. The total cap of 21 trillion XEC matches Bitcoin's supply in smaller units.
What does Avalanche do on eCash?
Avalanche is a voting protocol run by staking nodes alongside miners. Since November 15, 2025, Avalanche Pre-Consensus has made eCash transactions irreversible before they are included in a block. The project says this cuts settlement time from 10 minutes to about 3 seconds.
How does staking XEC work?
To stake, a holder needs at least 100 million XEC per coin output and must run a fully validating node with Avalanche enabled. Each block pays 10% of its coinbase reward and fees to one staker. The project says there is no wallet-only staking option and warns of fake staking guides.
Who is behind eCash?
eCash is developed by Bitcoin ABC, the team led by founder Amaury Séchet. A required part of every block reward funds eCash development, and new XEC enter circulation only through block rewards. Bitcoin ABC also builds the main node software.
What is XEC trading at now?
XEC is quoted at $0 on FMchart's composite, which blends several exchange prices. About $1.76M worth of XEC traded over the past day across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. Because units are so small after the 2021 redenomination, the price runs to several decimal places.
How many XEC will ever exist?
There are around 20,102,342,172,580 XEC in circulation today, and the cap is 21,000,000,000,000 XEC. New coins come only from block rewards, and the project says inflation will decrease to zero. Valued at today's composite price, circulating XEC adds up to about $139.9M.
What is the record high for XEC?
XEC's highest price on record is $0.0004, set on Sep 4, 2021. Price Statistics measures today's distance from that high and from the all-time low. Records like these describe the past and do not predict where XEC will trade next, especially for a coin with such small units.
How has XEC performed over the years?
In FMchart's composite price history (since August 2026), August 2026 (+6.8%) was XEC's weakest month and September 2026 (+20.2%) its strongest. Monthly Returns (USD) fills in the months in between, and Annual Price (USD) Change shows the result for each calendar year of the record.
