Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)

Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.

Seasonal Chart

Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.

About LayerZero (ZRO)

LayerZero (ZRO) is the token of LayerZero, a protocol that sends messages and tokens between different blockchains. Developers use it to build omnichain apps that work across Ethereum, Solana, Aptos and many other networks. ZRO holders vote on whether the protocol charges a fee. LayerZero Labs builds the core technology, while the LayerZero Foundation stewards the token and runs those votes. FMchart tracks ZRO as a composite US dollar price that combines quotes from several exchanges.

Verifiers and executors

LayerZero does not depend on a single bridge operator. Instead, each app chooses its own security setup. Independent Decentralized Verifier Networks (DVNs) check every message, and the app decides which DVNs are required and how many must agree. For example, an app could require two of three chosen DVNs to confirm a message. A separate executor then delivers the verified message on the destination chain. This lets apps balance cost against security, but a weak setup can leave an app exposed.

Omnichain tokens and data

Projects can issue tokens as OFTs, or Omnichain Fungible Tokens, which use LayerZero to move between supported chains. The protocol also supports cross-chain NFTs, known as ONFTs, and LayerZero Read, which lets an app pull data from another blockchain. Supported networks include EVM chains such as Ethereum, Optimism and Arbitrum, as well as Solana and Aptos.

Stargate and the buyback flow

Stargate is a cross-chain bridge for moving assets, built on LayerZero. In August 2025, Stargate DAO members voted with nearly 95% support to accept an acquisition offer from the LayerZero Foundation. STG holders could swap into ZRO at 0.08634 ZRO per STG, and the Stargate DAO was dissolved. According to LayerZero, all of Stargate's revenue goes to ZRO buybacks from April 2026. LayerZero entities have also bought back ZRO, including 50 million tokens the Foundation repurchased from strategic partners.

Supply and the Zero blockchain

ZRO has a total supply of 1 billion tokens. Part of it is still vesting to the LayerZero Foundation, strategic partners and core contributors. In February 2026, LayerZero Labs announced Zero, a separate layer 1 blockchain aimed at trading, clearing and settlement. LayerZero describes it as a heterogeneous design that can scale to 2 million transactions per second. Citadel Securities and ARK Invest bought ZRO as part of their backing. LayerZero says value from Zero, LayerZero and Stargate flows back to ZRO.

Fee votes and cross-chain risk

Every six months, holders vote on whether to switch on a protocol fee that would fund ZRO buy-and-burn. In the four votes held from December 2024 to June 2026, the switch stayed off. Unlocks of vesting tokens can add selling pressure. Cross-chain systems carry extra technical risk, because a fault in one chain or verifier can affect others. Zero is unproven, and ZRO has been volatile.

LayerZero (ZRO) FAQ

What is LayerZero (ZRO)?

LayerZero is an interoperability protocol that lets apps send messages and tokens between blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana and Aptos. ZRO is its token, used to vote on the protocol fee switch. LayerZero says buybacks funded by Stargate and other products flow back to it. Total supply is 1 billion.

What is the LayerZero fee switch?

The fee switch is a protocol fee, up to the cost of verification and execution, that ZRO holders can turn on by vote. If activated, the fees would buy back and burn ZRO. Votes happen every six months, and the four held from December 2024 to June 2026 all left it off.

What happened to Stargate (STG)?

In August 2025, the Stargate DAO approved an acquisition by the LayerZero Foundation with nearly 95% of votes. The DAO was dissolved, and STG holders could swap into ZRO at 0.08634 ZRO per STG. LayerZero says all Stargate bridging revenue has gone toward ZRO buybacks since April 2026.

What is ZRO's price right now?

ZRO is priced at about $1.6137 in FMchart's composite, combining recent trades from several exchanges. Total 24-hour volume is near $16.90M across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. One exchange's own ticker can show a slightly different figure from this combined price.

How many ZRO tokens exist?

About 399,976,128 ZRO are circulating, from a total supply of 1 billion. The rest is still vesting to the LayerZero Foundation, strategic partners and core contributors. At the current price, ZRO's market cap is about $645.4M, placing it at rank 96 by market cap.

What is the highest price ZRO has traded at?

ZRO's highest traded price in market data is $7.47, on Dec 6, 2024. The token has gone through long declines as well as rallies, so an old high reveals little. The Price Statistics panel sets it beside the all-time low and today's gap to each.

How has ZRO performed since it started trading?

In FMchart's composite price history (since June 2024), ZRO's monthly record runs from September 2026 (+69.4%) at the top to February 2025 (-29.2%) at the bottom. The Monthly Returns (USD) table charts each month in between, and the Quarterly Closing Price (USD) table marks where quarters ended. A record this short supports no firm conclusions.

What is the Zero blockchain from LayerZero?

Zero is a layer 1 blockchain that LayerZero Labs announced in February 2026 for trading, clearing and settlement. Citadel Securities and ARK Invest bought ZRO as part of their backing, and ARK also took equity in LayerZero Labs. LayerZero says value generated by Zero flows back to ZRO.

Is LayerZero a good investment?

FMchart stays neutral on whether to buy ZRO and gives no investment advice. ZRO is linked to a cross-chain messaging protocol and to Stargate-funded buybacks. But the fee switch has stayed off, tokens are vesting and Zero is unproven. ZRO's price has been volatile.

What affects the ZRO price?

ZRO tends to follow the broader crypto market. Protocol-specific factors include message volume across chains, Stargate revenue and the size of buybacks. Fee switch votes, token unlocks, progress on the Zero blockchain and security incidents in cross-chain apps also matter.
