ETH Futures Volume

Perpetual futures trading volume and related metrics for ETH across the exchanges FMchart collects.

Total Futures Volume Perpetual futures volume of the selected coin over the selected range, summed over every exchange FMchart counts, in USD (each trade counted once). 24h = each exchange's rolling 24-hour volume; other ranges = completed hourly candles. Change compares the same contracts with the previous range of equal length.

—

Binance Volume The part of Total Futures Volume traded on Binance perpetual contracts of this coin. Shown only when Binance lists the coin and FMchart has its volume.

—

Other Exchanges Volume Total Futures Volume minus Binance Volume: every other exchange in scope, each counted once. Exchanges whose data terms do not allow display are included without being named.

—

Volume / Market Cap Volume over the selected range divided by the coin's current market cap, in percent. Market cap = current median perpetual mark price × circulating supply (latest supply snapshot from CoinGecko, CoinPaprika or CoinLore). No comparison: market cap history is not stored.

Futures Volume & Price

Bars: perpetual volume of the selected coin per period from completed hourly candles (left axis). Lines: median perpetual mark price across exchanges (right axes). Turn on BTC Price to compare with Bitcoin on its own price axis. Times are UTC. The shaded area marks the selected range when it is shorter than the chart.

Volume by Exchange

Perpetual volume of the selected coin on each exchange that has data for it, largest first. Share is of this coin's total for the same range. Change compares the same contracts with the previous range of equal length. Exchanges whose data terms do not allow display are combined into Other exchanges.24h

Volume by Contract Type

Volume of the selected coin grouped by contract type and margin asset: USDT Perpetual = USDT-margined linear perpetuals; USDC Perpetual = USDC-margined linear perpetuals (Hyperliquid, Lighter, dYdX). FMchart does not collect coin-margined (inverse) or dated futures, so there is no Coin-M group. Groups add up to the total.24h

Volume by Quote Asset

Volume of the selected coin grouped by the quote currency of each contract (the currency the price is quoted in, not the coin traded): USDT, USDC (Hyperliquid, Lighter) or USD (dYdX, settled in USDC). Groups add up to the total.24h

Volume Trend

Perpetual volume of the selected coin per period from completed hourly candles, stacked by contract type: 24h = hourly bars, 7d = 4-hour bars, 30d = daily bars (UTC). Hourly candles exist for fewer exchanges than the rolling 24-hour volume.

Volume by Time Interval

Perpetual volume of the selected coin per bar interval: 1h bars over the last 24 hours, 4h bars over the last 7 days (completed periods, UTC). 5m and 15m are not offered: the finest per-period volume FMchart stores is the hourly candle.

Methodology

Volume counts each trade once (exchanges that report both sides are halved) and is in USD. The 24h range uses each exchange's rolling 24-hour volume; 1h, 4h, 12h, 7d and 30d add up completed hourly candles, which fewer exchanges publish — each range states its exchange coverage, and the two sources are never mixed. Other Exchanges Volume is the total minus Binance, so no exchange is counted twice. Changes compare the same contracts with the previous range and are left blank when there is not enough history. Price is the median perpetual mark price across exchanges. Volume / Market Cap divides the range's volume by the current market cap. Missing data is shown as —, never as zero. Data is recorded, not a live feed: hourly figures end at the last completed hour.

Data Coverage

Perpetual swaps from Binance, Bybit, Bitget, Gate, Hyperliquid, Lighter and dYdX, plus other exchanges FMchart collects and includes in totals without naming them. Only USDT- and USDC-margined linear perpetuals are collected — no coin-margined (inverse) contracts, dated futures or options, and no spot volume. Hourly volume history starts on 15 Sep 2026, so 90d and 1y are not available yet; the 30d change needs 60 days of history. These exchanges do not represent the whole market.

Frequently Asked Questions

1How is perpetual futures volume counted?

The page covers perpetual contracts only. Volume counts each trade once (exchanges that report both sides are halved) and is shown in USD.

2Why do the time ranges use different data?

The 24h range uses each exchange's rolling 24-hour volume; 1h, 4h, 12h, 7d and 30d add up completed hourly candles, which fewer exchanges publish. Each range states its exchange coverage, and the two sources are never mixed.

3What does Volume / Market Cap mean?

It divides the coin's perpetual volume over the selected range by its current market cap (median perpetual mark price × circulating supply). Other Exchanges Volume is the total minus Binance, so no exchange is counted twice.

4Which volume is not included?

Volume FMchart has not verified is left out (KuCoin reports both sides; Kraken and some other exchanges are still being verified). Coin-margined (inverse) contracts, dated (expiring) futures, options and spot volume are not included.

5How much history is available?

Hourly volume history starts on 15 Sep 2026, so 90D and 1Y are not available yet; the 30D change needs 60 days of history. Missing data is shown as —, never as zero.
