Liquidation Levels Estimated from open interest, prices and an assumed leverage mix — not recorded liquidations and not individual positions.

Track estimated liquidation price levels over time: when they formed, which are still active and which the price has touched.

Current Price Median mark price across the included exchanges at the latest 5-minute interval; change over the last 24 hours.

—

Est. Long Exposure (below) Estimated remaining exposure of long levels below the price that the price has not touched yet.

—

Est. Short Exposure (above) Estimated remaining exposure of short levels above the price that the price has not touched yet.

—

Formed (24h) Estimated exposure of levels that formed in the last 24 hours (newly opened positions in the model).

—

Touched (24h) Estimated exposure (measured when each level formed) of levels the price reached in the last 24 hours. Touched means the price reached the level — not necessarily that positions were liquidated.

BTC · Estimated Liquidation Levels

Each line is an estimated level: it starts when the level formed and ends where the price touched it (✕) or runs to now if still active. Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, click a level to select it.

Price Distribution of Active Levels

Estimated remaining exposure of active (untouched) levels by price band: longs below the price, shorts above. Click a band to highlight it on the chart.

Active Long vs Short Exposure

For each time interval: estimated exposure (at formation) of long and short levels that existed and had not been touched yet. Shows how the balance of levels changed over time.

Key Liquidation Levels (Active)

Active estimated levels with the largest remaining exposure, grouped by 0.2% price band. Click a row to highlight the level on the chart.

Level Clusters (Magnet Zones)

Price ranges about 1% wide with the largest remaining exposure of active levels, longs and shorts separately (same method as the Liquidation Map clusters). A cluster is not a price target.

Levels by Leverage (assumed)

Remaining exposure of active levels by the effective leverage band ASSUMED by the model. Exchanges do not publish position leverage; this is not measured leverage.

Methodology

Every 5 minutes FMchart measures how open interest changed on each exchange. Open interest counts one side of each contract (every long has a matching short), so when open interest rises both the long side and the short side grow by that amount (plus whatever that side just lost to liquidations). New positions are placed at that price and spread across an assumed leverage mix; each gets a liquidation price of entry × (1 − 1/leverage + maintenance margin) for longs and entry × (1 + 1/leverage − maintenance margin) for shorts. Within one hour, open interest cannot change by more than the volume traded in that hour; where an exchange reports larger swings (Gate), the change used to place new positions is scaled down to that hour's volume. A level is the estimated exposure that formed in one 0.2% price band during one 5-minute candle; on longer ranges the chart groups nearby levels into one line. A level counts as touched at the first 5-minute candle after it formed whose low (longs) or high (shorts) reaches it, using the median mark price across exchanges; several levels can be touched in the same candle. Touched does not mean liquidations happened. Because touches use the median price while the Liquidation Map removes a level exchange by exchange, totals here can differ from the map by a few percent. Positions are counted from a fixed point about 37 days before now, the same for every time range. This is an estimate, not financial advice.

Data Coverage

Perpetual futures open interest and mark prices from Binance, Bybit, Bitget, Gate, Hyperliquid, Lighter, Kraken and dYdX, plus other exchanges FMchart collects and includes in the "All Exchanges" totals. Exchanges added recently contribute only from when collection started. Updates every 5 minutes; the page refreshes every minute. Candles are the median mark price, so no trading volume is shown. A Cumulative Liquidation Levels Delta (CLLD) chart is not offered because no published definition could be verified.

Frequently Asked Questions

1What is a liquidation level on this page?

A level is the estimated exposure that formed in one 0.2% price band during one 5-minute candle. On longer ranges the chart groups nearby levels into one line.

2What does touched mean?

A level counts as touched at the first 5-minute candle after it formed whose low (longs) or high (shorts) reaches it, using the median mark price across exchanges. Touched does not mean liquidations happened.

3Why can totals differ from the Liquidation Map?

Touches here use the median price, while the Liquidation Map removes a level exchange by exchange, so totals can differ by a few percent.

4How are the levels estimated?

From open interest changes every 5 minutes, spread across an assumed leverage mix, with liquidation prices of entry × (1 − 1/leverage + maintenance margin) for longs and entry × (1 + 1/leverage − maintenance margin) for shorts. Positions are counted from a fixed point about 37 days before now.

5Why is there no CLLD chart?

A Cumulative Liquidation Levels Delta chart is not offered because no published definition of it could be verified.
