Volume Bubbles Chart (1h)

Each 1-hour candle's volume is signed by its direction (up candles count as net buying, down candles as net selling) and drawn as a bubble at the closing price, green for buying and red for selling. Bubble size and colour intensity show how strong that flow is compared with the last 300 candles: the strongest 30% get full bubbles with their USD value, the rest stay as small dots. Unusually large bubbles flag aggressive buying or selling worth a closer look, often near breakouts, reversals or key levels.

Seasonal Chart

Plots one line per calendar year showing the % change since the start of that year, with the current year highlighted against up to four previous years. Lining the years up on the same calendar shows whether the price tends to rise or fall in the same months, helping you spot recurring seasonal patterns. Treat it as context rather than a forecast: past seasonality does not guarantee future moves.

Orca Historical Data

About Orca (ORCA)

Orca (ORCA) is the governance token of Orca, a decentralized exchange on Solana. The token launched on August 9, 2021, as a Solana SPL token. Orca's concentrated liquidity pools let liquidity providers place funds within chosen price ranges and earn trading fees. On this page ORCA is priced through FMchart's composite, a blend of exchange quotes expressed in US dollars.

Fee tiers and the 87/12/1 split

Every swap on Orca pays a trading fee taken from the input token. Pools use either a fixed fee or an adaptive fee that can rise with volatility. On Solana, nine fee tiers range from 0.01% to 2%, each tied to a tick spacing. Of the fees collected, 87% goes to liquidity providers, 12% to the protocol treasury and 1% to a Climate Fund. Swaps routed through more than one pool can pay a fee in each pool along the way.

Staking ORCA as xORCA

Holders can stake ORCA and receive xORCA, a token representing a share of a staking vault. Orca's docs say 40% of the protocol's fee share buys ORCA that is added to the vault. According to the Council's September 2026 proposal, the rest currently goes 50% to Orca's development team and 10% to a community fee treasury. Because bought ORCA enters the vault without new xORCA being created, each xORCA redeems for more ORCA over time. Unstaking requires a 7-day cooldown.

A 75 million ORCA supply

Orca's documentation lists a total supply of 75,000,000 ORCA. A Council member wrote in October 2026 that the mint is still controlled by governance, so any new ORCA would need a tokenholder vote. Holders vote on proposals covering fee structures, treasury allocation and upgrades, and they can delegate votes or elect members of a DAO Council. The xORCA exchange rate is the ORCA held in the vault divided by the xORCA supply. Administrative changes to the xORCA program need 3 of 5 multisig signatures.

Merging into Formation

On October 7, 2026, The Block reported that Orca and the lending platform Loopscale had merged under the new name Formation. Loopscale co-founder Luke Truitt leads it as CEO, with Christopher Montagano as chief strategy and legal officer. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Block put Orca's trading volume since 2021 at more than $550 billion. Both protocols are to remain the foundation of the ORCA and xORCA token network.

A pending vote on fees and the treasury

In September 2026, Orca's Council proposed cutting xORCA's share of protocol fees from 40% to 10%. The plan would also dissolve the Council and move the community treasuries, including about 14.2 million ORCA, to team-controlled accounts. A first vote was cancelled over concerns about xORCA holders' ability to vote. As of October 8, 2026, Orca's governance forum says a new vote is scheduled for October 11 to 16, 2026, followed by a two-day cool-down. To pass, it needs at least 3,000,000 ORCA voting Yes and more Yes than No votes, and the Council can veto it during the cool-down. If it passes, xORCA stakers would receive a smaller share of protocol fees, and the community's ORCA and SOL treasuries would move to team-controlled accounts.

Orca (ORCA) FAQ

What is Orca (ORCA)?

ORCA is the governance token of Orca, a decentralized exchange on Solana that launched its token on August 9, 2021. Holders vote on fees, treasury use and upgrades, and they can stake ORCA as xORCA to share in protocol fee buybacks. Orca's docs list a total supply of 75 million ORCA.

How does xORCA staking work?

You stake ORCA and receive xORCA, which represents a share of a vault. Orca's docs say 40% of the protocol's fee share buys ORCA for that vault, so each xORCA redeems for more ORCA over time. Unstaking takes a 7-day cooldown. A tokenholder vote scheduled for October 11 to 16, 2026, could cut that share to 10%.

How are Orca trading fees split?

Orca divides trading fees three ways: 87% to liquidity providers, 12% to the protocol treasury and 1% to a Climate Fund. Fee tiers on Solana range from 0.01% to 2%, and adaptive pools can raise the fee when markets are volatile. The same split applies across tiers.

What is Formation?

Formation is the new name under which Orca and the lending platform Loopscale merged, as The Block reported on October 7, 2026. Loopscale co-founder Luke Truitt is its CEO. Financial terms were not disclosed, and both protocols are to remain part of the ORCA and xORCA token network.

What is the October 2026 ORCA vote about?

Orca's Council proposed cutting xORCA's share of protocol fees from 40% to 10%. The plan would also dissolve the Council and move the community treasuries, including about 14.2 million ORCA, to team-controlled accounts. After a first vote was cancelled, Orca's forum scheduled a new one for October 11 to 16, 2026. To pass, it needs at least 3,000,000 ORCA voting Yes. The outcome was not known when this page was reviewed.

Is ORCA a Solana token?

Yes. ORCA is an SPL token on Solana, launched on August 9, 2021, and Orca itself is a Solana decentralized exchange. Its pools, fee tiers and xORCA staking vault all run on Solana, and swaps there pay fees from the input token. Orca's documentation publishes the official token address so users can check they hold the real token.

What is the ORCA price right now?

ORCA is trading at about $1.6572 on FMchart's composite, based on several exchanges. In the past day, roughly $1.55M of ORCA moved across the exchanges in FMchart's composite. The header also shows the daily percentage change and the 24h Range, which help put the current price in context.

How many ORCA tokens are circulating?

Roughly 60,798,733 ORCA are in circulation, worth about $100.8M at the current price. Orca's documentation lists a total supply of 75,000,000 ORCA. Some market data still shows a 100 million maximum from before the one-time burn of 25% of supply in the April 2025 proposal. ORCA ranks 277 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

What was ORCA's highest price?

ORCA's all-time high stands at $20.33, recorded on Oct 2, 2021. Price Statistics compares the current price with that peak and with the all-time low. A record set in an earlier market reflects conditions at that time, not where ORCA is heading.

Which months were best and worst for ORCA?

In FMchart's composite price history (since September 2024), April 2026 (+137.6%) delivered ORCA's largest monthly gain and May 2026 (-42.5%) its largest loss. Monthly Returns (USD) lists every month, while Annual Price (USD) Change totals each calendar year for the token. Quarterly Closing Price (USD) adds quarter-end levels.
