Cardano Market Overview: Market Cap, Volume, Funding & Liquidations
Cardano market data is gathered here hourly: the composite ADA price, market cap and rank, spot volume, open interest, the ADA funding rate and liquidations from the exchanges FMchart tracks. ADA is one of the longest-running proof-of-stake networks, and its funding often flips between positive and negative, so spot and leverage data together show which side is in control.

Cardano FAQ
What happens when the Cardano funding rate turns negative?
Shorts start paying longs at each funding period, usually because ADA perpetuals trade below spot. It shows bearish positioning is in demand. If open interest rises at the same time, new shorts are being added; if open interest falls, existing positions are closing instead.
How do I read the ADA price, volume and open interest chart?
The chart overlays the composite ADA price, spot volume and open interest over 7 days at hourly resolution. Price rising with open interest suggests new leveraged positions are backing the move; price rising on spot volume while open interest drops suggests spot buying and shorts closing.
What does the Cardano liquidation heatmap tell me?
It shows estimated ADA liquidation levels across 30 days, layered over the price. When funding has been negative for a while, dense estimated bands above the price show where crowded shorts could be squeezed; when funding is positive, bands below show exposed longs. The levels are modelled, not recorded.
What does the Binance long/short account ratio show for ADA?
It divides the number of Binance accounts net long ADA by those net short. Values above 1 mean more accounts lean long. Because it counts accounts rather than position size, read it together with funding: a high ratio with flat funding suggests many small longs rather than heavy leverage.
