Litecoin Market Overview: Market Cap, Volume & Long/Short Ratio

Litecoin market data is collected here hourly: the composite LTC price, market cap and rank, spot volume, open interest, funding and the Litecoin long/short ratio from Binance accounts. Launched in 2011, Litecoin is one of the oldest coins still widely traded, and its data shows how strongly traders lean compared with what they pay in funding.

Litecoin FAQ

What does the Litecoin long/short ratio measure?

It is Binance's account ratio for LTC: accounts with net long positions divided by accounts with net short positions. A value of 2 means twice as many accounts lean long. It does not compare position sizes, since every open contract has a long side and a short side.

Why can LTC open interest change without a big price move?

Open interest tracks how many contracts are open, not price. Traders can open new long and short positions, or close existing ones, while the price stays flat. Steadily rising open interest in a quiet market means leverage is building, which can amplify the next move in either direction.

What does the Litecoin liquidation heatmap show?

It estimates price levels where leveraged LTC positions could be liquidated over the last 30 days, drawn over the price. When the account ratio leans heavily long, dense estimated bands below the price show where many of those longs could be closed. The levels are modelled, not a record of past liquidations.

How do I compare Litecoin with Bitcoin on FMchart?

Open the Bitcoin page for the same layout: market cap, volume, open interest, funding, liquidations and long/short ratio. The market share panel on both pages shows each coin's dominance, spot volume share and open interest share, which makes it easy to see how LTC's activity compares.
